1. General Terms (Applies to All Users)

1.1 Introduction

Welcome to Allegro Reg, a platform that facilitates registration for music festival competitions. By accessing or using Allegro Reg, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”).

1.2 Account Registration & Eligibility

  • Users must register with a valid email and name.
  • Users under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian create an account and register on their behalf.
  • Account sharing is strictly prohibited.
  • Allegro Reg reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts at any time for any reason.

1.3 Prohibited Conduct

Users must not:

  • Engage in fraudulent activities.
  • Misuse the platform or use it in unintended ways.
  • Copy, distribute, or reproduce any proprietary materials from Allegro Reg.

1.4 Platform Availability & Liability

  • Allegro Reg provides its platform “as is” with no guarantee of uninterrupted access.
  • Allegro Reg is not liable for revenue loss, downtime, or system errors.

1.5 Indemnification & Liability Disclaimer

  • The software is provided "AS IS" without any warranties, express or implied.
  • Allegro Reg is not responsible for any financial losses, including but not limited to lost revenue, fees, or penalties incurred by users or festival organizers.
  • Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Allegro Reg from any claims, damages, or disputes arising from the use of the platform.

1.6 Data Privacy & Compliance

  • Allegro Reg provides tools to help festival organizers manage data privacy requests but does not assume responsibility for compliance with GDPR, CCPA, or other data laws.
  • Festival organizers are responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant privacy laws.

1.7 Changes to Terms

  • These Terms may be updated at any time.
  • The "Last Updated" date at the bottom of this page reflects the most recent revision.
  • Users are encouraged to check back periodically.

1.8 Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.

2. Terms for Participants

2.1 Registration & Payments

  • Festival registration is facilitated through Allegro Reg. Each festival sets its own rules, deadlines, and eligibility requirements.
  • Participants pay fees that include:
    • Festival Registration Fees: Set by the festival organizer.
    • Allegro Reg Application Fee: A non-refundable fee collected by Allegro Reg on top of festival registration fees.
    • Payment Processor Fees: Charged by Stripe and subject to change.

2.2 Refunds & Disputes

  • Allegro Reg does not provide refunds. Participants must contact the festival organizer for any refund requests.
  • Chargebacks or disputes related to festival fees should be resolved directly with the festival organizer.

2.3 Intellectual Property & Data Usage

  • Participants retain ownership of their data but grant Allegro Reg the right to use it to improve its products and services.
  • Allegro Reg may use and publish aggregate, non-identifiable data for marketing, white papers, and other materials.

3. Terms for Organizers

3.1 Setting Up Events

  • Festival organizers are responsible for setting up and managing their event registrations, including determining:
    • Deadlines
    • Rules & class restrictions
    • Pricing
    • Refund policies

3.2 Payment Processing & Fees

  • Festival organizers receive participant payments via Stripe Connect.
  • Allegro Reg collects an application fee in addition to festival registration fees. This fee is paid directly to Allegro Reg and is non-refundable.
  • All fees, including those for payment processing, are subject to change.

3.3 Data Protection Responsibilities

  • Organizers must comply with GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable data protection laws.
  • While Allegro Reg provides tools to manage privacy requests, the responsibility for compliance lies with the festival organizer.

3.4 License to Use Festival Branding

  • By using Allegro Reg, organizers grant Allegro Reg a limited license to use their festival names, logos, and related materials for promotional purposes while they use the platform and up to one year after.
